Who we are

Two Norths, one table

Bottega Noord is an Amsterdam-based importer and wholesale distributor of artisan food from Piemonte and northern Italy. Our name reflects where two Northern cultures meet — Italian artisanry brought to Dutch tables.

Our founding partnership is with Panificio Patti of Ponderano, Biella — a family bakery whose panettoni, grissini and biscotti shaped what Bottega Noord is today.

What we believe

Three principles

Provenance over scale

Every product we carry is traceable to the family that made it. We grow slowly, because the producers we work with do.

Craft over convenience

Long fermentations, natural ingredients, recipes that pre-date industrial baking. We will not substitute these for shelf-life.

Direct over diluted

No middlemen between the producer and your kitchen, shelf or boardroom. One importer, one point of contact, full accountability.

From the producer to your door

We source directly
No middlemen. Every producer we carry, we have visited in person. We taste, we vet, and we build a relationship before a single pallet moves.

We import as the importer of record
EU compliance, Dutch-language labelling, full traceability. The legal and logistical work sits with us, not with you.

We ship directly from the producer
No intermediary warehousing. Your order travels from the producer to you with full traceability, handled by us as the importer of record.

We deliver to trade partners
Hospitality, retail and corporate, across the Netherlands. Minimum order quantities apply, and we will always tell you up front what they are — no surprises.

We stay accountable
One point of contact, fast response, and a replacement guarantee on any product that arrives below the standard we set.
